found innovative ways to move air through the Q45's V8. Like an intake
manifold that directs air through different paths at different engine
speeds to boost low-end torque or unleash high-end horsepower. And a
variable-flow exhaust system that improves performance by reducing exhaust

Lighter than steel, the V8's 32 titanium valves allow the engine to
rev more quickly—and more quietly. Stronger than steel, they're
better able to withstand the stress of higher speeds, so more immediate
response is matched by improved durability. A computer continually fine-tunes
their timing to optimize power through the entire range of engine speeds.
The Q45 can sense when external conditions, such as a steep grade or
a strong headwind, affect the vehicle's speed. It then automatically
increases power and/or shifts gears to help maintain your chosen speed,
without any change to the pedal position.
Engine power translates to forward thrust with seamless precision. The
transmission's electronics adapt to your driving style. Or you can select
manual shift mode and take complete control of the five precisely matched
gears—it won't shift until you tell it to. In either mode, you'll
experience the full effect of the engine's breathtaking power.
When friction is reduced, performance is enhanced. The cams and crankshaft
are finished to a microscopic level of precision, and pistons are coated
in ultra-smooth, ultra-hard molybdenum to move more freely. You'll enjoy
an engine that accelerates faster and runs more efficiently.
The Q45's handling is responsive and controlled. This inherent balance
is enhanced with VDC.* If the system's various sensors detect that the
vehicle has begun to understeer (plow forward) or oversteer (fishtail),
VDC can apply appropriate brake pressure to individual wheels and/or
reduce engine output to help you hold to the steered path. Click here

accidents due to abrupt steering or by careless or dangerous driving

How do you like your ride? Q45's Active Damping Suspension lets you
choose between "Auto" mode for softer ride quality or "Sport"
for firmer, more aggressive settings. In either mode, a central computer
monitors the movement of the Q45's body and adjusts shock absorber performance
at each wheel independently. You can have the handling of a sport sedan—meaning
crisp cornering without excessive body lean—while maintaining the
smooth ride of a luxury sedan.

Control is not a collision avoidance or warning device. For highway
use only and not intended for congested areas or city driving. The system
will not brake automatically to a stop. Failure to apply the brakes
could result in an accident.
The High Intensity Discharge (HID) xenon headlights on the Q45 are not
only brighter than halogen, they're also significantly broader. Their
unique, 7-lens design produces a wider, longer and more precisely aimed
light path. And auto leveling helps ensure that the lens angle is aligned
with the road.
The Q45's Bose® audio system channels 300 watts of audiophile-quality
sound through eight acoustically matched speakers, including a 12- inch
Nd® woofer. An in-dash 6-disc CD autochanger keeps your favorite
music at hand. And AudioPilot™ noise-compensation technology automatically
adjusts volume levels to compensate for ambient noise.
Get a new perspective on backing up. Engage reverse and the LCD display
in the center console shows you real time images from a tiny camera
mounted unobtrusively on the trunk. To assist in parking, color-coded
